2021 Labour Day Results

We have just had another great weekend at Paragon, with 77 teams playing in the 2021 Labour Day 2-Man Scramble.   The weather was a little cool Saturday, but Sunday was a beautiful day and overall, we had a great two days for golf.  Thanks for coming to play, we hope you enjoyed it!

Congratulations to Teran Newell and Cody Harvey, of River Hills.  They put together two great scores of 61 and 60 to take the title, sponsored by Bruce Auto Group.

The winners and complete results can be found following the links below.

Thanks to our sponsors, Bruce Auto Group, Fraser’s Pro Home Center, Freeman’s Auto, Smokehouse Brewery and Laura MacMillan/CIBC Wood Gundy.  You helped us offer some great prizes and that the winners really appreciated.

Thanks to the Kingston Lions Club for putting on the steak BBQ for the players on Saturday afternoon.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, Wayne Lincoln, Patricia Veinott, Debbie Walker, Chrystal Stuckless and Peter Foy.  A great job helping us organize and score the event.

Thanks to Jennifer Visser, our Golf Course Superintendent, and her staff.  They did an amazing job (and have been doing so all season) getting the course ready for play after all the rain on Thursday.  Great job!

Thanks to Kelly Venebles, Barb W., Kim, Kyra and Megan, the girls in the kitchen and on the cart.  They all worked hard keeping the food and drinks flowing all weekend long.

Thanks to Barb Eaton, Mike, Jessica, Bud, Parker, Logan, Cameron and Mackie in the pro shop and outside services who worked hard to get the golfers and carts out on the course.  Great job!  Special thanks to Barb Eaton, who was an “honourary volunteer”, helping with registration, handicaps, the draw and pretty much everything else behind the scenes leading up to the weekend.

We hope all the players really enjoyed the weekend.  We love putting tournaments like this on.  We want next year’s version to be bigger and better and we’re working towards that goal already.  We’ll see you Labour Day Weekend 2022!
